Julita

Passed away on July 29th 2004, when she was almost two years old.

We will miss you always.

Until now, in this blog we have been posting funny, cute stories about our hamsters. But in a hamster's life, like in anyone else's, there are also sad events.

Today Julita passed away.

She had been ill for the last days. The veterinary diagnosed a cystitis when we took her to the clinic. I thought it would be better to tell here about the sad event, instead of posting another fun story trying to fake a happiness that we're not feeling now.

And life goes on. Soon Baruchito will be posting here again, telling us more about his happy moments (and maybe the not so happy ones).

Julita, thank you for your company during the time you were with us, and for the happiness you made us feel.

We're already missing you.

Mama has been in Spain for one week now. She started her holidays before Papa because he was very busy and had to stay here in Japan for another week. But tomorrow he's going to Spain too and will come back next week.

Julita and I don't like the plane because they don't serve sunflower seeds. I asked Papa to stay here until he and Mama come back, and he agreed. We're going to stay at a pet hotel near home for a few days until they return. Papa is preparing Julita's cage now, and as soon as he finishes he will take us there. I'm waiting here sitting on my cage, eating an almond.

I hope I can make some good friends at the hotel!

Yesterday night Papa was playing a very scary game on his computer. I could see everything, because my cage is on a shelf just opposite to the computer desk. On the games there were ugly humans with knifes, zombies, mummys and demons. I was a bit scared because it looked like they were coming out from the computer. But luckily Papa killed them before they reached my cage...

But today I will not be afraid. This afternoon, when Papa and Mama were at work, I have been training by biting bits of watermellon and making ugly faces. Next time the monsters appear on the computer, I will bite them once and again until they go back to where they came from!
