Yoghurt eating lessons

Thursday, March 30, 2006 - Posted by Nana
Last year I showed you how to eat tofu. This time I will teach you how to eat yoghurt. You have to pay attention, because there are several steps that you must follow!

First, you approach the yoghurt carefully. This is because if you are too fast it will get scared and won't taste good.

When you're close to it, look at it carefully and smell it. This is because there are things that look like yoghurt, but aren't yoghurt. You wouldn't like to eat one of these.

When the yoghurt gets used to your presence you can start licking it carefully. If you're cute like me it will not be afraid.

Continue licking while you approach a bit more.

Eat more while you're hungry.

At this point your Papa or your Mama might try to take you a photo and they could forget to turn off the camera flash. If that happens, ignore them! This happens when you're so cute as I am and they put the camera too close to your face.

When there's no more yoghurt in one place, continue eating from the other side.

See? It wasn't easy, but we finally did it! When you're finished, don't forget to walk on top of the yoghurt and then walk over the desk leaving yoghurt footmarks everywhere. Your Papa or Mama will get happy because thanks to you the desk will smell like yoghurt!

Tasty yoghurt

Yesterday Papa was eating yoghurt on his desk. I happened to be playing nearby and noticed the smell, so I made one of my cutest faces and asked him for some.

He let me lick the cover until I was completely full. Luckily, yoghurt doesn't make you fat!

When I didn't want to eat anymore I started taking it to my cage so I could eat more later. But Papa told me to leave it on his desk because maybe Nana would like to eat some too.

Next time I will pay more attention. I will ask him for yoghurt as soon as he starts eating so he can give me a lot!

We've got balls!

When Papa plays with us usually he lets us run around the room while he looks after us, one by one. He wants to make sure that we don't bite any cables or climb somewhere dangerous. That's why we cannot play as much time as we'd like.

But he brought us some plastic balls so we could run and play together in the room! They work almost like our wheels: we enter inside, Papa closes the cover, and we start walking.

But you know what? While the wheels don't move, THESE BALLS ARE ACTUALLY GOING SOMEWHERE!

At the beginning I was a bit afraid because I didn't know how to drive it and I was spinning without moving, but now I can go wherever I want. I like crashing against the walls and against Nana's ball! However, I get tired soon and after a while I ask Papa to let me go back to my cage by crashing once and again against my cage's door.

Nana and Coco don't seem to get tired of running.

Testing my new wheel

Flan doing exercise on her second wheel
When I went to see Dr. Ozawa he told Papa that I need to do more exercise. Since some time ago I wasn't using my cage wheel anymore because I like making my nest just in the corner behind it and it cannot move because I like to put lots of tissue paper under it. I did exercise only when Papa took me out for playing and sometimes when I climbed to the bars in my cage.

But today after I went back to my cage after playing outside I found a new wheel inside my cage! I tried walking on it for a while and it works nicely.

Papa told me that I should run a lot on it so I lose weight, but I just felt like walking for a while. Then I went back to my warm nest.

I need to lose weight

Flan eating toast
Papa thought that I'm too fat, so last week he took me to see Dr. Ozawa just in case. The doctor said that I'm fat and that I need to diet.

That's why Papa now only gives me very few seeds and more fresh food like lettuce and tomato. It is a pity, because I enjoyed eating toasted bread very much, and now I think I'm not going to taste it again for some time.

And also, why should I need to lose weight, if I'm already SOOOO cute?
