Dr. Ozawa told Papa to give me three drops of medicine in the morning and at night. But there's a problem. I like this medicine veeery very much, and the bottle is already almost empty. Maybe I should pretend that my belly still hurts. Then Papa would take me to see Dr. Ozawa again and he would give me more medicine!

My belly still hurts sometimes, but yesterday I felt like playing again. I did lots of noise on my cage to tell Papa to let me play on the floor. It worked, as usual. He opened my door and put his hand in front of it. I climbed into his hand and he cuddled me for a while and kissed my head. Then after checking my belly he put me on the floor. I have trained him well.
I explored a bit after I showed to the evil curtains who is the boss here. I can't climb to the shelves yet, but I got very interested in a green box that was in the lowest one. Papa put it in the floor so I could investigate. One of its sides was open. I think it was the door. Maybe this box was some kind of home, because there was a plastic bag living inside. Luckily, the bag was sleeping and didn't notice when I entered inside her mouth. It seems that she had eaten too many seeds, because she was very full. Probably the poor bag couldn't even move, so I decided to help her. I started digging inside her mouth and taking out all of the food. In a few moments it was almost completely empty and most of the seeds were spread on the floor. I'm sure the bag was happy about being able to eat again. I went back outside and searched for my favourite bits of food: dried carrot, apple and bits of cheese and put them in my cheek pouches. Papa was near all the time, so when I couldn't find any more of my favourite food I climbed into his hand to let him now that I wanted to go back to my cage.
I'm sure that Papa is proud of what I did!

Papa took this video before Dr. Ozawa opened my belly. Every night when he comes from work he lets Luna and me play on the floor by turns and he plays with us. When He's sitting on the floor I like to climb on his legs and then climb his shirt or into his hand.

I wasn't feeling very well today. It was very hot, so I left my nest and went to sleep in a corner. My belly is sore and I can't move very fast. The stitches are very uncomfortable. I tried to remove them, but Papa saw me and got very angry. I think that he doesn't want me to take them out, but I can't understand why. He took me in his hand and checked my belly. Then he wasn't angry anymore and he let me play on the floor. I fought with the curtains for a while and then I tried to climb one of the shelves to visit Luna, but I couldn't because my belly hurt. Papa saw me and he put me back in my cage. He had switched on the cold-making machine, so it wasn't hot anymore. He brought me a big fresh piece of fresh cucumber and I ate a lot of it.
I wish my belly stopped hurting...

Hello everybody. I had to stay for two days at Dr. Ozawa's clinic because I had a something bad inside my belly, but now I'm back home with Papa. Yesterday I went to sleep and when I woke up I found out that someone had shaved my belly and put some steel wires on it. It's uncomfortable and sometimes it hurts. Papa says that Dr. Ozawa opened my belly to take out something bad, but that now most likely I will get well soon.
Papa made some changes in my cage. He removed the tunnel because he says that he's worried that my stitches will come out. I don't like them, but Dr. Ozawa said that I have to keep them for at least two weeks. Then I will have to visit him again to remove them. I wish I could take them out earlier because they hurt when I run on my wheel. I can only walk on it. I can run on the floor, but Papa doesn't let me play unless he's watching me VERY CLOSELY. He says that he doesn't want me to try to climb the furniture again until I'm completely healed. I managed to fight the evil curtains for a while anyway. Later Papa let me play on top of his bed and then he put me again on my cage.
Now Papa has just brought Luna and me a bit of hard boiled egg. With your permission, I'm going to eat!

I went to see Nana around an hour ago. When I arrived to Dr. Ozawa's clinic I saw her carrier cage behind the counter. Nana was sleeping on a tissue paper nest. The doctor told me that she's strong (I already knew that!) and that she will probably be fine. When I opened her cage she came out of her nest to check who had dared to wake her up. She sniffed my hand and then climbed into it as if nothing had happened.
I could feel the surgical wire on her belly, but she looked fine. Her eyes were alert and her ears were pointing up. She was sitting on my hands while the doctor told me about the surgery. He told me that the uterus wasn't filled with pus, but one of her ovaries was very swollen and most likely it was the cause of her problem. He took a small plastic bag from the fridge and showed it to me. The healthy one was a small pink button the size of one of Nana's fingers, but the other was dark red and about the size of one of my thumbnails.
The carrier cage is very small, so I brought Nana's cage to the clinic in case she would have to stay there for several days. I put it in a corner with some fresh food on it and then put Nana inside. She inspected it and didn't seem to be worried at all. The doctor said that most likely she can come back home tomorrow. After work I will go and see if I can bring her home.

Nana is staying at Dr. Ozawa's clinic since yesterday. On Tuesday night I saw some blood under her tail, and Wednesday morning I took her to see the doctor. After examining her, he said what I feared: like Flan, she has pyometra and should be operated to remove the womb. This surgery is very common in dogs and cats and it's not complicated. But hamsters are very small. That makes it more difficult.
According to the doctor, without the surgery she will get worse and die. By operating she will at least have a chance. She will be operated today. She's a strong girl, but surgery will stress her and take lots of her strength.
I will call Dr. Ozawa later and ask about her condition. If I can leave work early I will go tonight to see her. If I can't, I will go tomorrow morning.
Update: I called just now to ask about her condition. The nurse who took the phone told me that Nana has been operated already and she's sleeping now, but that she doesn't know much else about here condition. I will go to the clinic later if I can leave work early.

Tonight Luna and I were playing on the floor of the room. It was Luna's turn to be inside the ball, because Papa doesn't allow us to be out at the same time. He says that we could fight.
When we're playing we always make lots of noise because we like to crash the ball against the walls and against the furniture. That's how Papa knows where we are and what we're doing. But tonight we were quiet for a while and he came to see what we were doing. He found both of us freezing, Luna inside the ball and me in front of her.
Freezing is what we do every four days if there is a handsome hamster boy near us: we raise our tail and stay there without moving. We also do it when Papa strokes our back.
Papa took Luna out of the ball, put her on the floor and watched. Luna came near me and we sniffed each other, then we both freeze on the spot. Papa thought it was very funny. We stood like this for a full minute without moving at all, then we realized that there wasn't any handsome hamster boy near us. I ran under the bed and Luna followed me, without the ball. Papa took us and put us in our cages.

I found Luna! The other night Papa put me on the floor while he was cleaning my cage. While he wasn't looking I had the chance to climb a shelf that's in the other side of the room and I found Luna's new cage there. I think Papa was listening, because he soon came to keep an eye on me. I climbled to the cage bars and Luna came to greet me. She told me that now she has more space and even a small room to sleep, but that what she really likes the most is when Papa lets her play on the floor and on the bed.
Now I understand why Papa has cut my play time in half since she came to this home.
Anyway, after I visited Luna Papa put me again on the floor. I was fighting with the evil curtains until he finished cleaning my cage. I won, like usual.
When Papa put me again in my cage I noticed that one of the sides had a hole. I thought that maybe Papa broke it while he was cleaning and I went to check. It wasn't broken, it was a tunnel. There's another cage in the other end and a window in the middle. Papa's hand was waiting near the window in the middle of the tunnel, but I was more interested in seeing the other end. I inspected the other cage and saw that everything was fine. When I went to check the window again it was covered and Papa's hand wasn't there.
That night I was busy playing on the new wheel and going up and down the tunnel for no reason at all.
